Indian cricketer and great Sunil Gavaskar harshly criticized Shumbhman Gill for his peculiar choice of shot to be out. Gavaskar expressed his displeasure at Shubhamn’s ejection by asking, “What type of shot was he looking to play? While it’s understandable if he was trying to play it in the air, the on-drive was really poorly done. He put in a lot of effort and then executed the shot.”
