The Sarvha Foundation Marks Mother’s Day with “Nurturing Two Souls”- a Wellness Session for Expectant Mothers with doctors of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.

Acharya Anita, Founder of Sarvha Foundation, alongside renowned doctors and healthcare experts from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital during the awareness session.

New Delhi, 11th May 2026: This Mother’s Day, Sarvha Foundation’s founder, Acharya Anita, along with reputed doctors from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, spread awareness about the emotional, mental, and holistic wellbeing of expectant and new mothers through an interactive session, ‘Nurturing Two Souls’. The event held at Le Méridien, New Delhi, registered an attendance of couples planning to start their family and those who are already expecting their bundle of joy in the coming months.

The conversations centred around maternal mental health, the importance of creating a supportive environment for mothers-to-be and the emotional resilience required by pregnant mothers. With hormonal changes, physiological changes and mood swings impacting the mother, motherhood becomes a puzzle to be deciphered, and a holistic perspective is much needed by the families that are about to welcome a baby.

Acharya Anita, Founder and Trustee, Sarvha Foundation, and a life coach, said, “Pregnancy is not just a physical transformation but an emotional and a spiritual journey. A mother’s wellbeing is deeply influenced by the environment in which the new life begins and finally takes birth. ‘Nurturing Two Souls’ is our endeavour to create a space for expecting and new mothers to feel emotionally supported and heard and empower them with information along with support in this tumultuous phase of life.”

She aims to help expecting mothers in navigating their emotions and psychological aspects through guided meditation, mindfulness practices, and conversations centred on inner well-being as well as self-awareness.

Dr Geeta Mediratta, HOD & Chairperson, Institute of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, said at the event, “Pregnancy is an emotional journey where a female undergoes tremendous physiological as well as psychological changes. With emerging nuclear family trends and inadequate family support and guidance to the pregnant women, it is the need of the hour to provide emotional and psychological support along with medical care & guidance to these pregnant women’ lives. The medical experts of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital’s Institute of Obstetrics & Gynaecology have associated themselves with this wellness programme. Together, we aim to nurture healthier and happier motherhood journeys.”

The event brought along wellness practitioners, medical experts, and families for meaningful conversations. It had Dr Geeta Mediratta, HOD & Chairperson, Institute of Obstetrics & Gynaecology; Dr Chandra Mansukhani, Vice-Chairperson, Institute of Obstetrics & Gynaecology; Ms Vandana Verma, Addl. Principal Dietician; and Ms Priya Gandhi, Lactation Consultant, Department of Neonatology, all from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, as key speakers at the event along with Acharya Anita.

The session featured expert medical guidance for expectant mothers; discussions around maternal wellbeing and family support; and how meditation and mindfulness practices can help ease multiple problems. This small beginning aims to encourage more open conversations around maternal wellbeing and create awareness about the importance of emotional care during pregnancy.

With this vision, Sarvha Foundation is taking a step forward in the direction of holistic maternal wellbeing. Acharya Anita will be guiding young mothers through her sessions and at the soon to be launched wellness centre.

About Sarvha Foundation-

Sarvha Foundation is a registered NGO in Delhi, established in 2015 with a clear conviction: communities strengthen when individuals are equipped to stand on their own. Over the past decade, the organisation has conducted 240+ health check-up camps, planted 3,100+ trees across Delhi NCR, supported 500+ individuals through skill development initiatives, and reached 14,500+ individuals through spiritual wellness programs.

Sarvha works at the root of instability — where limited healthcare access, restricted livelihood opportunities, emotional strain, and economic dependence intersect. Through structured community programs in healthcare, women’s empowerment, skill development, environmental action, and spiritual wellness, the foundation builds long-term resilience rather than offering short-term relief.

Under the leadership of Acharya Anita, who has guided individuals for over 25 years across India and internationally, Sarvha combines grounded community action with measurable, accountable implementation.
